 Sabrina's early involvement in the arts started in the form of dance classes at the Sayang Academy of Dancing. She moved on to finish her higher education in Perth, Australia where she initially studied Accountancy and Economics at the University of Western Australia. However, unable to shake off the thespian bug, she completed her studies in Australia with a Bachelor of Arts from Curtin University, specialising in theatre and film. In Australia she acted and worked backstage in numerous plays and short films, choreographed several shows and produced Biding Time, a documentary that was aired on Perth's "Channel 31".
Currently, due to her passion for the performing arts, she freelances in everything from directing to dancing. She has hosted RTM1's Anjung Budi, co-directed a documentary for RTM1 (Di Sebalik Warisan), conducted a workshop for Digi's "Drama Delights" charity programme, choreographed for the Opening of the 16th Kuala Lumpur Film Festival Malaysia (KLFFM) and danced for Farah Sulaiman in several shows for television and stage. The television programs you may have seen her in are Agensi Melor (Astro Ria), Ika (Astro Ria) and In The Groove (RTM2). Sabrina has just completed her run at Istana Budaya in Malaysia's first ever big-budget musical, Rubiah - The Musical., where she held a supporting role and was assistant director.
Sabrina's first experience directing children's theatre was in 2001 where she was Director of Acting for www.Puteri GunungLedang.com.my that was staged at Matic KL. Although known for being strict and unquestionably demanding (just ask the kids!), Sabrina believes in the old adage "children are our future". She hopes through shows like Jalan Impian, we will be able to cultivate a society that not only loves the arts but will also elevate the arts to a profession that is truly valued by society.
